Searching for the truth in music

So I changed all the visual settings AGAIN! I often like to change things up, can you tell? But I like what's going on now. Actually the makeover was sparked by my Intro to Web Presentation project: the creation of my very own website, which I am currently in the midst of perfecting (ahem... redesigning for the thousandth time) and now the colours and themes complement each other. Success!

Stay tuned for my site, I assure you it is on it's way. I'm also currently editing my Linkedin profile - looking for connections ;) and diving into the incredibly fun world of Flash. My course this semester only introduces the program but I'll be a Flash MASTER by the end of April, once I've completed my Flash for New Media course, very excited!

In other news, the other night I went to the Supermarket in Kensington to watch my friend Rehan Dalal open for David Ryan Harris, who is a musical genius and just so happens to be in John Mayer's band. We didn't end up seeing J.M. himself, although rumours were circulating of a possible appearance. I wasn't too upset, because Rehan and David put on an absolutely incredible show. I couldn't believe my ears, as I sat there in awe of such talent.

We began to speculate that the couple sitting in front of us, as seen in the photo, were on a first date - And I'm thinking, if this was true, this was likely the most romantic first-date of all time - you really couldn't help but get lost in David's incredibly dreamy vocals and seriously smooth guitar rhythm. So amazing.

Fusing idea with passion

"Day after day we seek an answer to the ageless question Aristotle posed in Ethics: How should a human being lead his life? But the answer eludes us, hiding behind a blur of racing hours as we struggle to fit our means to our dreams, fuse idea with passion, turn desire into reality. We're swept along on a risk-ridden shuttle through time.

Momentous world events are beyond our control while personal events, despite all effort to keep our hands on the wheel, more often than not control us."

Image theory homework speaking volumes to me at this particular moment of life.
Intrigued to continue reading this book.

Camera Obscura, November 26 @ Phoenix.
It will definitely be a mellow show - To go or not to go... we shall see.
